BioThis is a journal set up to chart the progress of the creation of a live action roleplaying game based on the Lace & Steel tabletop rpg by Paul Kidd (Pharos Press, 1998). The original game was a game of swashbuckling and courtly intrigue in a high fantasy setting, and it seemed like the perfect basis for a live action roleplaying game - one based around both court politics and sallying forth.

This is rapier duels & bar-room brawls;
This is effete nobles & grizzled sea dogs;
This is cutting bon mots and bawdy shanties;
This is high magic & low cunning;
This is the smell of spice and perfume & the stench of sweat and cordite;
